Thought for Christmas and New Year

Terence Kabalias
President of KCA

A few weeks ago, I read an article in a newspaper, which has made me think deeply about the purpose, priorities and the effects of the choices that affect our lives. The article was about Sir. Alex Ferguson. Alex Ferguson is one of the most successful managers in the English Football. He is the manager of the Mancheste Football Club. As a club manager, he has achieved everything, European success and success in national level too. After a long period of service as a manager of a famous club, he decided to retire from football career at the end of this season.

Like many people at this point in their lives he was reflecting on his life. In doing so he realised that he missed out on the most important part of life, which was being with his family and seeing his children grow up. He now regrets that he lost part of his life and wishes that he could turn the clock back and hope that he could have second opportunity to choose family life before success and fame in football. What I learnt from reading this personal account of this man's life is that, the great impact that our choices make on our lives and how important it is for all of us reach that certain point in your lives content and not wish for a clock to turn back.

Gratitude

Kerala Catholic Association is very proud to present the third edition of Association's Magazine. Even though it is a small magazine, in volume, it needed a lot of hard work and commitment to achieve this kind of success. First of all I am grateful to the chief editor Mr.Lazar Antony for his time, enthusiasm and dedication for the creation of the magazine. I am also thankful to all those have contributed and especially the young ones who expressed such commitments in making this magazine a success.

I wish to express my acknowledgement to everyone who worked so hard for the success of the association, especially KCA's former presidents secretaries, former treasures, committee members, former and current trustees and also Mr.Angilose Francis for his valuable time and contribution for the first edition of the magazine and Mr.Damien Roberts for the second publication. Without their hard work and dedication, we wouldn't have achieved this success.

Last annual general meeting of the association elected six sub-committee members, seven committee members and six office bearers for the next three years. With their help and all your support we have achieved an immense success as we did in the past.

A big thanks to you, the members, for your participation and sincere support.

Wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
